Installing an aftermarket racing or bucket seat in your Honda Civic Type R FK8?

The Track Hack Plug & Play Seat Airbag Canceller is designed to connect directly to the factory seat airbag connector when the OEM seat and its integrated side airbag are removed.

Unlike solutions that require inserting resistors into the factory connector, cutting wires or tapping into the vehicle harness, the Track Hack canceller uses a matching connector for a clean, removable installation.

Currently confirmed on a 2018 North American (US) Civic Type R FK8.

Other markets may use the same connection, but please contact us before ordering if your vehicle is outside North America.

What This Canceller Does

Removing the factory FK8 seat also removes the seat-mounted side airbag. Disconnecting this airbag can cause the vehicle's SRS system to detect an open circuit and illuminate the SRS warning light.

The Track Hack canceller connects to the vehicle-side airbag connector and provides the appropriate electrical load in place of the original seat airbag.

Important — Other Seat Sensors

This product replaces only the electrical load of the seat-mounted side airbag.

Depending on your seat installation, other factory components such as the seat-position sensor, seat-belt buckle/sensor or passenger occupancy system may still need to be retained or transferred from the original seat.

This product does not bypass those systems.

FL5 Civic Type R

The FL5 Civic Type R appears to use a similar seat-airbag arrangement, and we are currently investigating compatibility.
